Holiday

The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year and requires a lot of planning ahead. As we all know planning a holiday party isnt always the easiest. Follow these tips to avoid feeling overwhelmed and ensure everyone, including yourself, enjoys a great time.

Give Guests Enough Notice
Calendars tend to fill up quickly this time of year. Try suggesting a few dates to your desired guests and choose the one that works for the majority. Then make sure everyone “saves the date”!

Select a Caterer and Venue Early
Book your caterer in advance for your event, whether it’s at your home or a venue. You will want to secure their availability before they become fully booked.

If your party is at a venue, book your spot in advance. An old-fashioned inn can be ideal for a small holiday tea, while a restaurant with private rooms may better accommodate larger groups.

Offer Variety

Make sure to have enough foods and beverages (including non-alcoholic options) available so there’s a little something for everyone.

Have Extras

Prepare for unexpected guests as someone who initially declined may surprise you by showing up. Have extra portions of individual-serving items, party favors, and activity supplies to avoid the stress of running out of supplies.

Mingle and Be Merry

Compile a holiday music playlist to enhance your party’s festive ambiance and put you and your guests in a seasonal mood. Greet everyone as they arrive and let them know how happy you are that they’re there to celebrate with you. Then relax and mingle with everyone.

There are many ways to create a memorable holiday party for guests. Just be sure to start planning your holiday party early to make the most of this special time of year and enjoy celebrating with those closest to you!
