In 1983, Jim Horan left his career in social work and began catering small jobs in the film industry. With just himself, a van and a growing reputation for delicious fare, Jim turned his passion into a business and Blue Plate began. Did you spend time in Wrigleyville in the early 90’s? You just may have tried one of Jim’s original sandwiches at Blue Plate’s deli. These were the building blocks that made us who we are today.
